Our Grandad

Our Grandad, so kind, so strong, so true,
There was nothing he wouldn't do for us two.
His "girls," he would call us, with a smile so wide,
We were always by his side.

We'd giggle and say, "Who's number one?"
"And who's number two?"
But now we know truly, with hearts full of pain,
We were both his everything, again and again.
He taught us to laugh, he taught us to play,
He brightened and sweetened each and every day.
A hug for one, a kiss for the other,
He loved us completely, like no other.
So though we might argue, with a small little sigh,
About numbers and places, and who ranked high,
We know in our hearts, it's plain to see,
We were always his darlings, his sweet twin glee.
We'll miss you, Grandad, more than words can say,
But your love is with us, each and every day.
And in the memories we hold so dear,
You'll always be with us, holding us dear.
Love your twin girls forever xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
